Only 4 miles from I-57
  • From Market Rd. Turn left on to property approximately 1/4 mile north of fire station. Our sign is on the west (left) side of the road. It reads "Dam Near Lake of Egypt Cabins"
  • Drive past our home estate up a black asphalt drive until it turns to gravel.  
  • The cabins are indicated by their door color.  Clockwise from the circle drive: Cabin 1 is Yellow Door, Cabin 2 is Teal Door, Cabin 3 is Purple Door.  

Check in time is 3:00 PM.  We have keyless entry.  We will email you and text you the access code prior to your arrival.

The keyless entry will activate after arrival time so you can check in any time afterwards.  

Note: Your code activates on arrival date at arrival time and automatically deactivates on departure date at departure time.  
There is ample space for vehicles and boat trailers.  There is also an outlet on the outside side of the porch for boat trailer batteries.

EV chargers are welcome as well but it is a standard 110 outlet.

Here's a basic list of things you could consider bringing. We know you'll have your own needs and preferences, but we thought it might be helpful to consider what else to bring - as we know what amenities we already provide!

Consider Packing:
  • Bug Spray- if you plan to do a lot of outdoor activities
  • SPF Sunscreen
  • Personal electronics chargers/portable chargers
  • Ziplock bags, Tuperware if you plan to do a lot of cooking
  • Life vests if you plan to be in or around water- to ensure proper fitting
  • Backpack- if you plan to do a lot of outdoor activities
  • Old towels to wipe paws if you are bringing a pet. 
  • Beach towels- we only provide bath towels.

Already on property: 
  • Linens and bedding
  • Basic toiletries- Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash
  • Towels and Washcloths
  • Kitchen Utensils and Basic Spices
  • Coffee
  • Baby Gear for a small rental fee
Trash: NO loose trash in the outdoor container</strong > please.  We have an outdoor trash bin located behind each cabin. To help them (and to keep the critters out during your stay), please only place CLOSED, 13-gallon trash bags in the containers. 

BYO Beach Towels: As a reminder, there is a pond/beach area on site. Please bring your own beach towels. We only provide bath towels at this time.

Sandy Paws: There is a water spicket located in front of the cabin.  Please use to remove sand and dirt from feet and paws.  It is an anti-freeze spigot.  Run the water for 3 seconds to clear the sentiment and it is ready to use.  

Grill: Our cabins have a charcoal grill. BYO Charcoal and supplies. 

Firewood: We provide firewood. It is located as you come into the property by our home estate.  

Inventory: We provide a "starter package" of inventory for our cabin: 3 rolls of T.P. and 1 full roll of paper towels, and coffee.  

Coffee: The coffee pot is a regular drip coffee maker.

We have a Smart TV in the living room. Complementary Netflix account already installed and logged in. If you use your own streaming accounts, don't forget to log out when checking out!

Then, select the cabin you are in.
The numbers will light up as you enter your code. To lock, simply close the door and press the bottom right lock button. Your code is unique and will only activate at check-in time on check in date and deactivate on departure date/departure time. (There is a 1 hour grace period for those that leave something behind or arrive a little early).</span >

Absolutely no parties

Quiet hours after 11pm

No smoking with 15 feet of the house- DO NOT THROW BUTTS ON PROPERTY

Guests not included in the reservation must have prior permission and approval to be on property.

Excess trash beyond what can fit in the kitchen goes to the trash can located behind the cabin.

Report pets as required in Pet Policy.
Follow Checkout Procedures.  Note: Failure to follow checkout procedures may result in cleaning charge.

Breaking rules may result in immediate eviction of property without refund.
Pets must be reported prior to arrival.  $40/pet; per stay.  Max 2; dogs only. If unreported, you will be subject to pet fee plus $40 unreported pet fee.
Checkout is at 10:00 AM

Leave the cleaning to us!  But before you leave, we request that you:
  • Run the dishwasher/wash dishes.   
  • Start a load of used towels. (Purple door cabin only)
  • Pickup any trash in the outdoor area including cigarette butts.
  • Place any access trash beyond the kitchen trash can in the outside bin located behind the cabin.

Inclement weather, fallen branches, and other things beyond our control can occasionally cause a region wide outage. If you suddenly find yourself without power, check here first to see if it is a regional outage. If it seems to be isolated to just your property, please contact us immediately! 

This is in another cabin but it's a similar unit. Be sure to always have it on Heat or Cool; not on auto.
