Check in is after 3PM. Check out is before 10AM.
A rental agreement and $500 security deposit hold is required (just like a hotel).
Absolutely no hunting on owner's land- violators will be prosecuted. We can provide hunting locations within walking distance.
Absolutely no trespassing on private land- neighbors will prosecute.
No Pets. Ring camera on site. If evidence of a pet you may be charged an additional fee and/or asked to leave.
Basic checkout procedures are appreciated: start a load of used towels and start the dishwasher before you go.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: Ninety-seven percent (97.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

About the Owner

Whippoorwill Valley Lodge is owned by residents of northern Illinois with generational roots in Johnson County. This property is managed by Southern Illinois Vacation Rentals, a veteran-owned, woman-owned business. Allison, owner of SIVR, is an SIUC alumni and has a deep love for the hospitality industry and showcasing beautiful southern Illinois.
