Stay on a 150-year-old family farm at Rendleman Orchards, now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This remodeled 2BR cottage blends cozy charm with modern comforts, offering queen bedrooms, a queen sleeper sofa, a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, and an electric fireplace. Step outside to panoramic orchard and woodland views, a fire pit with complimentary firewood, charcoal grill, and optional golf cart rental ($75/night).
From June through October, enjoy signature farm experiences: peach season, apple season, cider donuts, goat visits, sunflower and zinnia fields, u-pick mums, pumpkins, and fresh-pressed cider slush. In spring, witness peach and apple blooms; in winter, stroll peaceful trails with frost-covered trees. Exclusive to guests: mapped hiking trails, a new “Secret Mum Trail,” wildlife watching, pond areas, and photo spots unavailable to the public.
Minutes from Alto Pass, Shawnee Wine Trail, Giant City, Bald Knob Cross, Cave-in-Rock, and stunning Shawnee National Forest trails. This is Southern Illinois farm life at its finest.

Wayne and Michelle are 5th generation owner/operators of the 150 year old farm. They believe locally grown food, sharing farming practices and providing beautiful spaces to connect people with family farms will bind people to the American farm families and their contributions to feeding our country. They have come to learn good food creates community, extended family and togetherness. This property is managed by Southern Illinois Vacation Rentals, a veteran-owned, woman-owned business. Allison, owner of SIVR, is an SIUC alumna and has a deep love for the hospitality industry and showcasing beautiful southern Illinois.Location
