Shawnee Creek Cottage – Romantic Couples Retreat with Hot Tub & Lake Views

Shawnee Creek Cottage is a peaceful, romantic retreat overlooking the woods and countryside near Lake of Egypt. Designed for couples, this cozy open-layout cottage features a king bed (bedroom has no doors—see photos), a fully stocked kitchen, smart TV, workspace with excellent WiFi, and a modern bathroom with walk-in shower and washer/dryer. Outside, relax on the private covered porch, soak in the hot tub surrounded by nature, or unwind around the smokeless fire pit on the landscaped patio. Enjoy beautiful wooded views, wildlife, and a quiet setting that’s perfect for reconnecting. Close to Lake of Egypt, the Shawnee National Forest, hiking, wineries, and scenic drives.

What to Know Before you Book

Check-in is after 3 PM. Check-out is before 10 AM.
The docks and boat launch across the road are private. The nearest boat launch is approximately 24 minutes away.
Rental agreement is required with ID verification.
Pet Policy: Pets are not allowed at this property. If guest are caught with a pet, guests may be subject to an immediate cancellation without refund.  If evidence is found after your stay, there will be a $150 penalty for rule violation
Inventory: We provide a "starter package" of inventory for our cabin: 3 rolls of T.P. and 1 full roll of paper towels.
