Skiing, tubing and jet skiing are ONLY allowed in the designated ski area on the north end of the lake by the dam.  When in doubt, please ask us about rules you are not sure about! 

Lake of Egypt Rules

Please review all rules of Lake of Egypt if you plan to be on the water.  Lake rules are enforced by safety patrol and Conservation Police.  Highlights include:

• All youth under 13 years of age must wear a life vest while boat is moving (state law)
• No casting of fishing lines within 10 feet of any dock.
• Skiing, Tubing and jet skiing is only allowed in designated ski area from dawn to dusk.

Marion KOA Campground on Lake of Egypt

At the south end of the lake you will find the newest KOA Campground with all the amenities that event the public can enjoy!  This includes: 

• The water park (2 hour time slots)
• Boozy adult shakes from the Watering Hole (and full bar)
• Gourmet Pizza and Burgers, Ice Cream and More.

Note we do not recommend the boat ramp ($30+) but everything else is great! 

Pyramid Acres Marina

Known for a friendly, local crowd and lively bands on weekends, Pyramid Acres is a full bar with billiards.  Many weekends you can also catch a food truck or two in the parking lot.  Bloody Mary Bar on Sundays!

We can't say enough about PA.  We love the owners and the staff are the best.  Always the best "lake vibe." 

This is also our recommended place to fuel and replenish the cooler. 

The Cross-Eyed Bear at Mack's Marina

Thursdays- all you can eat crab legs and a full service bar and gastropub menu. Bands and full-on concerts throughout the summer.  Located in the Mack's Marina building.  We go here to grab burgers and other good food.  We aren't fans of the marina itself and it's our last recommendation for rentals and ramp usage. :)
